Go to the Student Services page to create a new account. Note: you must have a valid email address to set up an account with us. If you want to receive your Company’s membership discounts, you must use your business email.

How do I register for events?

See description above as the process is very similar. Please note that for events you may purchase more than one ticket, however, once you have purchased the tickets(s) and completed the transaction you may not go back in and increase the number or purchase additional tickets even in a separate transaction. Another user will have to do this on you behalf. Sorry, just a control in the system.

How do I register another person for a class, seminar or exam?

There are two ways that you can register another person for a class, seminar or exam:

  1. by obtaining their email address and password (if they are willing to provide this to you) and registering directly into their existing account; or
  2. by setting up a new student profile. This will create an additional student record for that one class, seminar or exam which the BII will match and merge into their existing record. Please note, that using this method, a new record must be created each time you register the student. You may therefore find it easier if the student registers themselves.

What do I do if I have forgotten my password?

You can send a request for your password to be sent to your email address, click Forgot on the Student Services page.

My company is a BII member company but I am getting non-member prices, why?

This is because your individual profile does not reflect your Employer’s membership status. Please contact the BII and we will ensure that it is updated so that you are charged the correct fees.

How can I find out if my company is a BII member company and their membership level?

A list of current BII member companies and their membership level is listed on the About Us page.

Which methods of payment do you accept online?

We accept debit and credit cards only, including MasterCard, Visa and American Express. We no longer accept cash or cheques, nor do we accept billings. See note on American Express in the cancellation FAQ below.

I want to pay for my registration by cheque / cash and it won’t let me.

Since we have gone on-line, the only accepted method of payment is by credit / debit card. Very few people do not have a credit / debit card and companies that wish to use a corporate card can either have their HR specialist register you directly or give you permission to use the corporate card to register yourself. If you use somebody else’s corporate card, please be sure to give them a copy of the receipt so they can reconcile their charges.

What is the cancellation policy if I am unable to attend or decide to withdraw?

Cancellation policies and deadlines for classes, seminars, exams and events vary and are detailed in the either description (seminars/workshops and events) or on the appropriate website page (classes and exams). We regret that cancellation requests received after the specified dates cannot be refunded except in special circumstances. Please note that refunds to American Express cards will incur a 4% deduction, this represents the non-refundable fee charged to us and we regret that we must pass it on.

How do I cancel a registration?

You cannot cancel a registration online. To cancel a registration, you must contact the BII in writing or via email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

When corresponding via email, please be sure to include your full name and address, registration details for what you want to cancel (i.e. course code, title, and date) and a day time phone number where we can contact you.

How can I find out what I'm registered in?

To see what you are currently registered in, upcoming classes, seminars, exams or past registrations, visit the Student Services page, log in using your email and password, then click view My History.

I can’t find the exam I want to write on the date I have chosen, why?

Make sure that date you have chosen is for the format of exam you will be writing ie: essay/short answer exam (eg: CPCU551, 552, 556, 560, ERM57) or objective (all others) and be sure you have the correct letter / number exam code. They are listed alphabetically ie: ARE143, CPCU520, INS21.

I can see what I want, but can not register for it, why?

This is because the exam, class, seminar or event is either not yet open for registration or available to be purchased and has been posted on the website for your information only or it may be (Closed)* ie: fully subscribed.

Email notification will be sent out once registration opens so if you wish to be included in these notifications, please add your areas of interest on your account details page.

Please note that it will be indicated beside the name of the exam, class etc if (Closed)* ie: fully subscribed.
