This course will be beneficial for all board directors at an early or mid-point in their career (both execs and non-execs), senior leaders or senior managers aspiring to a board role, those based in SMEs or large organisations, in the private, third or public sectors.
On this course designed specifically for non-finance directors and senior managers, we will demystify the world of finance, helping you to assess the financial health of an organization in the context of its strategic objectives.
This course will give you an understanding of key financial concepts and terminology, as well as the skills and knowledge required to evaluate business plans with confidence, assess the financial health of your business, understand the relationship between financial and corporate strategies, the concept of financial risk, the importance of risk assessment and management and question financial information and contribute more effectively to boardroom decision-making.
By attending this course you will gain the knowledge and skills to:

~~CANCELLATION: Refunds will be granted upon receipt of written (email) notification of cancellation up to 45 days before the course start date. We regret that cancellation requests received ater the specified date cannot be refunded and fees are not transferrable to other courses.
However, the IoD at its own discretion may review exceptional circumstances and vary this policy on a case by case basis (in which case a minimum $100 cancellation fee would apply).
Please note that refunds to American Express cards will incur a 4.5% deduction, this represents the non-refundable fee charged to the BII and we regret that this fee must be passed on to registrants.
COURSE CHANGE REQUESTS - Course change requests occur when the same person transfers from one course to another, subject to availability, and cannot be guaranteed. Course change requests must be made before the cancellation deadline. A minimum transfer fee of $50 will apply.
NO-SHOWS - 'No-shows' are registrants who do not attend the seminar for which they are registered. No refund- credit, partial or full will be given to No-shows, regardless of the method of payment.
