Strong leadership is increasingly fundamental to the successful realisation of an organisation's vision. This intensive course provides a valuable opportunity for directors to explore strategic leadersip issues both with and beyond their organization.
This module intruduces a more personalised approach to leadership and delegates will be encouraged to understand and develop their own self-awareness and emotional intelligence, gain an understanding of the key competencies requires to be an effective leader at board level with the opportunity to practice and develop some of these competencies.
During the course you will assess different leadership and decision-making techniques, determine how to build and sustain high-performing teams, and evaluate how these can be applied to your own organization to contribute to its increased success.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES -
Develop an understanding of how leadershp can be defined and understood in relaton to the director's role on the board.
~~~ Apply techniques for developing a greater awareness of one-self and of the motivations and behaviours of others.
~~~ Create a culture which constructively engages others in the organisation to achieve the strategic objectives, and to resond effectively to crisis and change.
~~~ Identify how leaders create influence and impact within and beyond the organization, and assess relevant stakeholder engagement strategies.~~

~~CANCELLATION: Refunds will be granted upon receipt of written (email) notification of cancellation up to 45 days before the course start date. We regret that cancellation requests received ater the specified date cannot be refunded and fees are not transferrable to other courses.
However, the IoD at its own discretion may review exceptional circumstances and vary this policy on a case by case basis (in which case a minimum $100 cancellation fee would apply).
Please note that refunds to American Express cards will incur a 4.5% deduction, this represents the non-refundable fee charged to the BII and we regret that this fee must be passed on to registrants.
COURSE CHANGE REQUESTS - Course change requests occur when the same person transfers from one course to another, subject to availability, and cannot be guaranteed. Course change requests must be made before the cancellation deadline. A minimum transfer fee of $50 will apply.
NO-SHOWS - 'No-shows' are registrants who do not attend the seminar for which they are registered. No refund- credit, partial or full will be given to No-shows, regardless of the method of payment.
